tinkered around with the wiring and got it all together, clutch and throttle cables on,key switch mounted etc, rerouted the loom here and there, mounted the harley indicators on the front,a simple length of threaded rod with some brass tube i had laying around, ill put a lock nut on the end of the clamp nut.

i might do the fuel tap tomorrow and fire it up?

How did you get the fork tubes up on the tree without scratching up new paint?

yeah just your standard 550,i did clean up the head a little and match the intake runners though,i set the full advance to just past the pair of full advance marks with the boyer ignitions, this leaves the idle about halfway through the actual "F" mark.

a bit more tinkering,i didnt want to use stripper on these as it might mottle them being that soft pot metal stuff,a full night in brake fluid didnt even touch that paint so i just blew it off with the sand blaster, the polished fake gold letters were scratched up anyway, ill paint them later ,maybe white with black background.

Me thinks that paint stripper would have been a better way to go.

Very clever Dave, using the signal bolt to clamp the headlight ear! Are you patenting it or can I do it too? ;D

I've driven my F with no muffler, didn't like it either and didn't want to piss off the neighbors with the excessive noise. What kind of muff are ya getting from Mick?

Hi Steve, its an gold aluminum muffler from a set of pipeline pipes. We may need a pipe to go between the muffler and the header to get the angle right....
