Ain't the PNW just GRAND!  I've lived (born in Tacoma)  in different parts of Washington on and off for 45 years and still can't get over how much diversity and beauty there is from east to west.  The Columbia Gorge is fanatasic.  The Fort Canby campgrounds, near the mouth of the Colombia, used to be a family favorite.  Still need to see the Mt. St. Helens area and much more.
So much to see, so little time to do it.

I'm in the Vancouver WA area. It seems  we are so far behind the times when it comes
to classic bike get togethers like over seas. Maybe we could start linking up with a regular classic car show
day. I love the eastern Washington ride idea, Grand Coulee area? Anywhere though would be great for me.
Just another chance to ride!

Typical middle aged guy getting back into bikes. Live in Puyallup and want to get out this summer for some fairly short rides (maybe 100mi RT). Or, maybe just a few Saturday get togethers for ride, a beer, and something to eat.

This bike is semi-restored and only has 10,000 original on it. 1980 Honda CB650.

Questions: my back wheel has got a rather large and deep rust spot on it. Not much hope of re-chroming but wouild anyone have an idea about how I could get the rust off and maybe paint the spot with something to protect it and maybe almost blend in with the chrome??

Any of you South of the boarder guys thinking on comming up to the April 22 Classic Bike Swap Meet at the South Delta Recreation Centre, Tsawwassen BC.  There are 5-8 of us from BC going to be there and it's a great show!  Lost of antique bikes...the parking lot is the best show of all!

mrclyde50,
Someone just posted a link to vintageBMX.com where they used oxalic acid to remove rust from chrome. Seems like it should work, just polish the steel and clear it lightly. Should look better than rust.

Nice bike Doug_id.  Great place to go riding.  I lived in Cheney in my youth and my daughter currently lives in Pullman.  I really like the contrast between west of the mountains and eastern Washington.  Passed through Idaho and Montana in 1986 on the way to Yellowstone with the family.  Hope to make it back to Montana and tour Glacier National Park some day.

Just a bump from the backwoods of Snohomish/Monroe on a white '73 350F.
Another forum member, RainyRider is also up in the Snohomish area with a 550F.

Be sure to hit this show in Sultan on July 12!!! I'll be out there.
Bike will be in the show. Lets get more SOHC4's out there.  only 1 or 2 last year.
Stop by and say HI!

I am so there.
I'm in S.W. Portland and we'll probably have 2-3 bikes going if anyone local is interested in hooking up for the ride.
Will be leaving mid-afternoon Friday.
Let us know!
