Looks good. Plz show inside of tank once evaporust has done it's magic, have a K1 tank that needs this process.

The Evapo-rust is re-usable, so don't toss it.  It just looses effectiveness...
Works real well.
Electrolysis might work better if you have potential pinholes as the metal transfer that I think it does...but, thin areas might be better to show themselves rather than delay the pain.
With water sitting in the low spots for condensate that can form and then sink to the bottom, it is a good idea to use something like Sea Foam gas treatment to help keep the tank clean and the water in suspension.  Carbs seem to like it better I think.

That is a nice blue tank you have... is it Planet Blue?

Not sure of the color name code, but original blue for 750f. 

Tank does not leak after clean. Sea foam will go in when I get a chance.

I read up about electrolysis but just wanted to give evaporust a try as I have the bottle since last summer.

Pulled Lester's that I got from Steve-o out of the shelf, mocked up on the bike and also that I can move the bike around. Put in the kick stand, and swapped out kick starter with one in better chrome.  Plugged in my battery jumper and she cranks! Very awesome. Waiting for new oil, batt, and plugs to come in for a live demo.  I think I will have a running motor before 4th of July :)



Not liking the bike stance with the clubman bars though, may go with clip on bars.

Bike looks good, might wanna "adjust" that rear brake!  Why do you have the club mans on upside down?
You'll need a vent in the cap, drill it out?   That is not Planet Blue....

Norman Hydes would be great.  Sapphire Blue in an F color but that doesn't look like it to me.

The paint is original and doesn't appear to be painted over. Color name is Candy Sapphire Blue.  I have an M bars in my parts pile, will mock it up.

Oil came in, way quicker than I thought. $60 for 3 gallons, or about $5 per qt. anyone has source for cheaper oil? May be we see some engine action sooner than later



Also having a hell of a time deciding few things.

- Gas tank with petcock to match carb, idle control screw is on left side. 
- wheels and the brake systems
- seat to match the F tank

Bought some mc oil a couple weeks ago at Auto Zone, pretty sure it was $4/quart.
What kind of seat do you want, stock or aftermarket?

normally autozone is a bit pricey.  guess they were on sale.  looked at the sale ad just now and Valvoline is $4,  will look on the next batch of oil.

choosing the seat and tank, the problem really starts from the carbs, as the idle control knob is on left side.  the F and K tanks I have both have petcocks on left hand side.  not sure if I could live with petcock and idle knob on the same side.  if I use K tank, stock seat will fit right in and I have that on my shelf.  if use F tank, seat will need to be made.  the Tracy Body kit has petcock on right hand side, already perfect set up.

and so I decided to pull the Tracy one piece body kit out of the shelf, cleaned up nice.  some dings and scratches here and there but not too terribly bad







and rebuilt the petcock with this seal, changed the front two screws as the threads were stripped, fixed and good to go.  tank had already been lined previously, so i'm good there


then found another issue







the oil tank cap appeared to be too large for the body kit opening hole.  can anyone think of smaller cap I can use?

...filler neck sticks up through whole in sidecover, put the cap on.  If you want to take the body off, just take the cap off first.

Oil tanks are cheap,cut off the neck,make a smaller one with a threaded cap.. Might just be the body not sitting right.

Thanks guys.  My right hand control only has one hole for pull throttle cable??? I searched, but no info found.  Also the wiring, I don't have green/red, but has yellow/white so I plug that into green/red.   Also have yellow wire leftover.  Any idea if this control is from smaller bikes?

Not so much done for the past week due to work schedule changed. Not much time to work on bike other than fired it up.  And also took the front brakes out for refurbish.  Easy job here but took forever.



 The MC was leaking so I pulled one out from parts pile and rebuilt, worked like a charm, used it to push out the calipers pistons.  All serviceable. 

Last weekend took the family out to Legoland

 The single cable hole, could be off Honda 450 or others, if it is off others then it probably has a lever perch cut off it.

And the wiring



Blue and white wires go to headlight, no questions on this one. But where does the left over yellow wire go?

Yellow/red goes to yellow/red. Yellow/white plugged into green/red to get the stater to spin the motor. 

Calipers cleaned up and painted gloss black, the mounting arms get matte black





I'm also thinking the calipers may not be correct for the 75 bike either
