Completely done.

1978 Honda CB750k after restoration

Now the CB450 gets the wallet.

And as I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm picking up another CB450.

My plan is to have a garage full of them.

Hey, stupid question, but do you mind me asking HOW you got the stripped speedo screw out? I have a '78K with exactly the same problem, and I can't even remove the front wheel until I get it sorted.

You could use a screw extractor set. Harbor Freight has a decent kit for $20. Won't last a lifetime, but it will get you through many extraction jobs.

If you don't have a kit, you can try something that may be faster. Take a dremel with a cutting whell and cut yourself out a good sized slot. Then take a flathead screwdriver, then whola!

This spring I picked up my first project bike, a 1978 CB750K with 61K miles on it.  It wasn't running when I got it, and a few months later it is now.  I stumbled on this thread looking for signal stays for my rear indicators...

I have to say this is a fantastic thread and I hope to have similar results with my bike over the next few years!

Hey, thanks! I'm actually showing it on Sunday at the local VJMC event. We'll see how it goes.

Once on awhile, I get people guessing at an earlier year than it is. That was the goal!
