Newbie in STL with a 1980 Honda CB650c
« on: November 15, 2012, 01:13:34 PM »
Glad to have found this forum/site, and I'm sure I will be visiting and begging for advice frequently over the next few years. My father just graciously donated me a 1980 Honda CB650c that I plan on customizing. I also ride a 2009 Triumph Thruxton.

Welcome!

I'm also in the STL area. Feel free to holler away if you need anything.

If you need parts for that ride I have a buddy who has the same bike that I dont think he's going to do anything with. The carbs are junk but the rest of it is pretty solid. Clean title and all.
You CAN do great things...with enough beer.

Nice. Thanks for the info. I'm planning on really customizing it but I bet I'll need something sooner or later. :)

First order of business is de-gunking the carbs. Hope to tear into it this weekend.
