Z-MO's 72' CB750K cafe
« on: December 07, 2012, 10:09:41 am »
So I picked up this bike from a buddy for $600:

Began stripping the bike down and banging in the knee indents.  The gas tank had 4 layers of paint and a bunch of bondo.

Happy to find the carbs in pretty good shape:

Got my smooth top tree, clip-ons, and levers in:

Got started shaping out a seat, needs a lot more work though.  Changed the design a few times along the way.  Remove foam, add foam, repeat.

Did a little fin shaping:

That's the down and dirty of where I'm at now.  Just a summary to get people caught up.  I'll try and be a little more thorough and post more frequently as I progress.

Got my rearsets in today and they look pretty bad ass.

Waiting on my Carpy 4-1's to arrive so I can mock this up and figure out how to mount these so everything jives.
