I got it runing did some tunning, rejeted the carbs fixed some electrical issues and now its all apart.
I got all the parts from the powder coating




I do need a triple tree as mine is bent!
Any help will be appreciated!
I also need a pair of fork tubes

That looks pretty terrific.

Regarding fork tubes, I just bought a set from Frank's Maintenance and Engineering (http://www.frankmain.qpg.com/) for my 400. The quality is impressive. Including shipping, I paid slightly under $300.

Since they make the tubes, you could get those 12-overs that you've always wanted.  8)

I have a set off of my 1977 750k. Lowers are polished, few marks. Completely rebuilt so bolt and go.

I took them apart then polished the bodies and painted them with gasoline resistant clear.
Order the OEM rubber boots the carb where tuned and rejeted so all I got to do is synchronized them when running.

It is a lot of work the engine was painted with ceramic heat resistant paint and I took all the covers off to powder coat.
At the same time I repalced the case bolts with anodized allen bolts

 That new TRIP TREE looks good also but it kinda throughs your RESTORATION off.
TO RESTORE= TO rebuild to ORIGINAL CONDITION!!!
It will look nice but your' complete frontend wiil be different, ie, Handlebar mounts, gauge mounts.

I feel you man but I thought about this.
As long as I can bring the bike back to his original state I'm going to take a chance on it. All the bolt paterns are there for the original stuff, plus there is brake manifold concealed on the bottom part of the base with an connection for the brake lanes already build in.
Is a clean set up.
All stock harware still can be place on it plus it has additional options for custom items.
It's also 25% lighter.
And it's also not in stock till next year so I 'll have to move on with out it any way.
New project, my rear wheel is in bad shape.
I'm thinking on a spoke wide rear wheel set up 16x5 stock hub and better lower rear shocks.
All the original parts will be restored, cataloged and neatly put away for future use.

I ordered a week ago assured that it was in stock

We I finnaly got around to check the triple tree,.
It's not bent it was one of the fork tubes so pitted that would not go all the way as the other did so it loked like somthing was wrong.
It's all good.
But the fork tubes needed replacement and I can not find a replacement.

I really like what you have done with the engine. I want to do the same thing with the black powder coating and chrome accents. How did you prep the engine casing before you had it painted? did you bead blast it or hot tank it or both?

First I use degreaser and washed the engine.
Remove carbs and anything that is on the way.
Cover any opening exposed with tape and such.
I got a cheap blasting gun ( you will need compressor) and I used baking soda, no harm there and you can do it outdoors.
Then sandpaper away.
U used high temp engine paint. Duplicolor ang VHT (speel check) make ceramic coating for it.
It comes in many colors after it cures its resistant to gasoline.
Follow instuctions on the can.
If you like your shiny they also make a high temp clear.
You can do engine in or out of the frame, I suggest out.   its easier.
This is what that bike look like when it first hit the door in my garage

It ended up looking like this:

Full resoration/ customization job.

My coil wires are crap
Will need replacent

Just got the front forks complete from John AKA Toy Stuff  I deffinately recomend him as a seller.
Very nice knowlegable guy excellent packing job.

I also installed the ignition as well as new harness.
I'm watting for some items I oreder from Vinatge 750 to have all electronics, rubbers correct.
Watting for the two hubs and chrome spokes from X
Got aluminum rims to go with it. It should be cool.
