i take issue with the accuracy of this model.

i don't see a single drop of oil leaking from that thing.

I had one of these (my brother used to manage a toy store) and the quality was quite poor.  Maybe for an expert modeller, but fit and finish was rough.
Roule comme dans les années 70...   Roll as in the Seventies...

Agreed. I got one when they were first released (mid 70s or early 80s or so) and the detail for the money spent was severely lacking and the castings really crude. The cam/rocker setup is a joke and for the size of the model should have more realisitically mimiced the actual engine. I still have mine, but have long since glued on the front cylinder and the rocker cover and made it a static display only.
