O-rings
« on: July 13, 2006, 01:08:15 PM »
So where does everyone get their o-rings?  I'm looking for a kit of o-rings that can be used for various projects including rebuilding the carbs on my CB.  How do you know if they are standard or metric sizes or any of the other size types I have found online recently or what durometer.  There seem to be plenty of options out there.

Thanks

If you have any of the old o-rings that you need to replace, what I have done multiple times in the past is go down to the local hardware store and say " I need x amount of these" and they go and get exactly what i need. It works great and Its quite inexpensive.

cheers; will

I'd be careful using Harbor Freight o-rings in any critical application. I just don't trust some of their stuff...

Try McMaster-Carr for a metric o-ring assortment:
