Rim needed
« on: July 14, 2006, 02:14:12 PM »
I just started rebuilding a 71 Honda SL175. I am looking to stay stock with it even though the temptation is to just go wild and bring it up to date.

The one part I can not find is a front rim. These old bikes used a 1.60x19. The Honda part # was 44701-290-003. If you happen to see one please drop me a line.

Thanks
Gene

Have you tried eBay? With a little patience you can usually find what you need. I'd have had a heck of a time re-doing my 350f without it.

I've got a '72 SL125 I'm rebuilding. The front rims are unobtainium...

I did manage to get a new rear rim via Honda, but haven't found anything for the front.

On eBay, try item 260007444800.

I am looking at a couple on ebay.  May be the only way. find a straight one and have the chrome redone.

Just started pulling the motor out today. It ran,but just ok. Think I will have a look inside. Probably do the top end over and see how the pistons look.

Thanks
