O-ring size for 78 CB550 PD46C carbs fuel tubes.
« on: January 15, 2013, 07:42:30 am »
I'm in the final stages of rebuilding the PD46c carbs from my 78 CB550. The rebuild kit I got didn't come with any replacement o-rings for the aluminum fuel tubes that connect the carbs together. Does anyone know what size these o-rings are?

Also, there are some paper gaskets that separate the carb top from the body; the kit didn't come with these either.  I have a guide for rebuilding the carbs that suggests these can be home-made from thick paper, has anyone done this and found it to be a success?

I'll post pictures soon to make this easier to understand.

Thanks

What rebuild kit?
The old gaskets between the top and the carb bodies can be used again. No problem.

...that connect the carbs together? That's just fuel line unless you mean the o-rings on the fuel supply T?

The rebuild kit was one I got from Cycle Recycle.  It has the float bowl seals,  the tiny orings, washers and springs for the pilot screws (see picture), and float needles.

I have attached pictures of the aluminum fuel rail tube also.
