I just wanted to see if anyone had tried the VT registration thing to get a title in Ohio.  This state is a killer when it comes to titles....and there sure are a lot of bikes here I would like to buy if this would work.  Thanks

I know of some people in other states that have gone through VT route without any problem.
You could always call your DMV and explain to them you want to register and get a title on a bike from VT ,tell them that VT is a NON-TITLE state and you only have a registration and plate in your name.

I emailed the local recorder's office here in Iowa some time back.  The reply I got was that I could transfer the VT registration to an Iowa title, as long as the VT registration is current.  Haven't tried the VT route yet, last time I used the Iowa bonded title approach.  It worked, but had to have the bike assembled before the DOT would sign off on it.  The surety bond from my insurance agent was $50, vs $100 for an on-line place.
