Anyone know where to get a seat like this?
« on: January 16, 2013, 03:14:08 PM »
These pop up occasionally on ebay. I was wondering if anyone knew of another source?
I contacted "Hellboy" on ebay and he said it's currently out of stock. I've seen a seat very much like this listed for a CB550 before, too. It even had pics on the auction of it mounted to a 550.

Pick your "cafe" supplier

DCC airtech maybe glass from the past

Go to the vendor/sponsor area of the site there will be plenty of choices. Post a want ad in the wanted section, maybe a member has one and chose a diff route
The dirty girl-1976 cb750k, Ebay 836, Tracy bodykit
Round top carbs w/ 38 pilots, middle needle position, airscrew 7/8ths out, 122 main jet
Stock airbox w/ drop in K&N, Hooker 4-1

Don't trust me alone with a claw hammer and some pliers

All of those guys have the "traditional" cafe seat. This one is different, to me anyway. The pics I've seen on a 550 show it with the stock rear fender in place. If not this exact seat then one very much like it.

Got one! He listed one on ebay this morning and I snapped it up. Paid a little more than the last one that went to auction, but I've been lusting over this seat for a long time now.

Here's what it looks like on the CB500/550.
