something to drool over
« on: January 28, 2013, 07:55:27 AM »
saw this on Saturday at a place in Dallas called L&L Cycles. I'm sure you guys around this part know of it.

I was told he got it in a few months ago and it hadjust been sitting in a barn for quite some time. The engine is free and turns over but won't fire yet. He said it was an 1100 something. Pretty crazy! Wish I had of gotten a better pic of it. The engine is far out. It is in an old school hard tail frame w/ one of those Harley tanks w/ the two gas caps on top. Not my cup o tea but that engine sure is sweet!

Got an RC block and other goodies, may be a full blown 1000cc Cobra engine. Nice.  Weber carbs would be even better.

All that motor work with stock carbs? hmmmmm

Where is this cycle shop. I'm in Dallas 2-3 times a year and I have been spending all my time hanging out at Big D cycles drooling all over their cool stuff. Could use some different stuff to drool over.

I don't know if I'd call it a shop although he may work on them there. I'm not sure if he does? I'd say it is more of a pic and pull if anything. Yes he does sell bikes but he has a huge inventory of all kinds of bikes. He's been around since 79. It is on the south side of dallas down near Gilley's right off of Lamar street. It is pretty cool though to go in and look at the amount of stuff he has for sure.
