Nighthawk oil cooler mounts
« on: February 16, 2013, 05:29:03 am »
Yes, yes...YES!, I've read several dozen pages about oil coolers. :o

I'm not asking whether I need one or if Honda would have supplied one or...whatever....

Does anyone have any pics of the MOUNTING of the Nighthawk oil cooler?
I know Spikeybike installed one on his 550, but when I try to save his pics, they get distorted. His build thread also only shows how he made the plate fit the engine. I'd also like to see some pics of how the cooler itself was mounted.

Did you use the horn mount? Fab a bracket or plate?

Anyone that's actually used one of these on a 500/550 (or a 650 in a 500/550 frame), can you show me details?

Hre's a pic of the Nighthawk cooler mounted. I just welded a light tab to the frame.

Oil that is too cool is also bad, be careful out there.
