Comstar trueing

I posted earlier about a bent wheel, but it's not bent I think.
Just needs trueing. Can this be done to the Comstar?
Should most any motorcycle shop be able to handle it?

Or has anyone come up with a method to do it yourself?

They can be trued if not bent too badly.  A shop near Seatac mall between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington did two Comstar wheels from a CB900F for me a few years ago, and they turned out fine.  Sorry, can't remember the name of the shop.  They also straightened frames.  If I come up with the name, I'll post it.

Thanks Ofreen, my front isn't to bad, very slight wooble and the only reason I really noticed it
was slightly more vibration than I remembered from my last 750.(That was an 16 year memory too ;)
I'm sure if they can do it out there I ought to be able to find someone round here nearby.

My experience with a bad ComStar was that the guy at the tire shop(automotive) told me the wheel had trued easily, but would run out of true again because the oval headed bolts at the hub weren't holding anymore. Before I put the wheel back on the bike( after truing) I ground off one of the hub nuts, replaced with hex head bolt and nut, torqued it down, ground off the next, etc. until all had been replaced. It never caused a problem again.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

Thanks Killer, I spent a bit of time while through town today hunting for a shop that could do it.
Started to leave it at the new race shop but decide if he was going to have to experiment well I could do that.
I have a borrowed old bike truing stand, and my comstars have bolts already. The nuts were tack welded to
keep them from backing off, i'll grind it off and loosen and go from there.
I'll post how it turns out.

Ground off the tack welds and loosend the bolts, fussed with the wheel bumping it back and
forth with a rubber hammer till I got it. Runs true now. Not to bad a job. Even fixed the
29 year old sticking calipers on the front. Thanks for the advice.
