Lots of red in the garage Jim.....I think you need some yellow or blue too. ;) The GS should do well on the dyno.

Got that right Frank. Really necessary with more aggressive cams.

Just broughed out an F2 the other day. The port shape is much better than the K's and early F's.

I have had my 840 GS with a Mike Rieck head (an 850 head with under-bucket shims and Ti retainers, big cams etc etc)
and 34 flat slides at Brian,s for a few weeks and its still
hasn't been on the  dyno...........as soon as he gets this finished I will schedule time and get it up there
as I dont want this bike to stay there very long
He is very busy as race season (Both road racing and drag racing has started) with engine builds
and dyno time.
I will post this dyno run as I have the run with a modified head by me and 29CRs
I think there should be a +15 or better HP out put
Then the GS1100 with your set up
should be interesting
sorry for the wait?
How is your build coming along?

Anything new Jim?
I'm having the Katana dynoed soon, my son however rode a 10.465 at Pori airfield Saturday so I'm sure the engine isn't far off  ::)

Haven't had a chance to. Been working for almost
9 weeks straight and the last couple have been
Playing catch up with the honey do list.
I need to re-time the cams for more mid range
And not so much top end ( intake is 110 and exhaust is 112)
Going to get them in the 103/105 range. Switch exhaust systems
And hopefully will have time to get it up there for tuning
It's good to own a business that keeps you busy
But DAMN
Will keep everyone posted

I had my Wiseco's valve pockets machined and still couldn't go under 107 / 109, but give it a try.

Head is the same setup as yours, 1166cc Wiseco pistons and 29mm GSX-R 750 carbs.

Gee, is that all you've squeezed out of that motor?  ;D

"1980 Suzuki GS1100E
Power in 1980 was 86.67hp@8000rpm, with torque of 59.73@6500rpm. Wet weight was 563.5lbs. ”
"1983 Suzuki GS1100E
Power in 1982 was 108bhp@8500rpm, with torque of 67.6@6500. Wet weight was 549lb's. ”

That's some pretty awesome numbers and one you might be gripping pretty tightly...
So, it stretches the arms and compresses the spine...

Throw some RS 36's on that and you can get another 5HP out of it. Juha's 1500cc head will be in the machine shop this week....I just need to hit the exhaust ports with a cartridge roll and flaps. Intake ports are all done.
The head is late but there were some real obstacles to overcome. I can post some pics of the intakes as my oldest son is home...just don't want to anger the God of all moderators.....Sam Green. ;) ;D ;D

What would epoxy be used for?  An oops?

How do you put in/do oversized seats?
