I think I woulda ran the batteries down tasing her ass! Well I think she got what she deserved, trying to have an attitude like that! I think in this case the cop showed very good restraint. I might have turned the cam off and beat her a couple of times too just because!

seems to me there needs to be some new weapon development - something that will just temporarily numb someone's whole body, maybe some kind of gas...

we could call it "shut the &*$# up, #$%*" gas...  ;D

But cbj, what would be the excuse? She was not following an officers order that did NOT infringe upon her rights. She was being difficult. In many states, that is grounds for arrest. So he could have tased her, or gotten into a fight with her in which BOTH would have gotten hurt worse OR he could tase her dumb ass and finally gotten the point accross to her.  My money is on the arrest sticking and him not getting into trouble at all. you will also notice that he waited for backup before he did it so he has an eye witness and not just the dash cam.

Well a tase does numb the body! :D

this would all be a moot point if we had the sorts of driving training and traffic enforcement that Britain has...

although given my dad's recent experience trying to get registered in London, I would have to say I wouldn't look forward to that, either...
