Feedback on a 1977 KZ 650-C

It's a long story but before Christmas I was looking at a 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650. I do know this is a mid year C model and not many were produced compared to the A and B models.

Believe it or not it's still for sale.  :o I have the price down to $850.00 for a running bike with title. Does have 55K on the clock so a compression test is in order. Bike is completly stock minus the ugly sissy bar and aftermarket seat.  ::)

Bike is about three (3) hours from me. From what I have read they were a pretty nice motorcycle. It was in November when I first saw it so the seller is motovated. Say's he has hard bags painted to match although I can't find any info on them.

Waiting for some more pics. I deleted the ones I had figuring it was sold long ago.

Did you take a pass on the cheap Goldwing ? No update on that thread.

Yes. His bottom was $450.00. Offered $200.00.

It wasn't a purchase for me but a friend. All he would do was $200.00. Been on CL for over a month so the seller can keep it.

I had a '77 (or '78?) Kaw 1000.   Great bike, ran great, never an issue. Put many miles on that bike including a month long 3000 mile tour of TX, NM, CO & WY.

I haven't read anything bad. Just a compression test before purchase.

A good friend of mine is moving back to the area in a few months. He is a great painter. I'm not a blue fan but the color looks great on it.

my buddy has a 650a...motor is awesome...it will beat a stock cb750...triple discs are great...about the same weight as a cb750 but handles better...650's are not the flexi-flyer that the z1 was known as...

They were referred to the Z1's little brother.

Still waiting on the seller. You would think he wants to sell it since it's been listed since November!  ::) ::)
