Welded tank
« on: March 19, 2013, 03:09:56 AM »
I got this from one other forum, the tank was welded by professional but leak warranty only if there is no weld grinding.

What do you think?  ;D

The story is that the tank leaked and the owner sent it back for a fix - seems like the welder got peeved  ;D

WOW, Ya know, hat is some nasty work. I say grind it so it looks good, if you have pin-holes fill with JB weld sand it down and put in a tank liner and test it. I think you will have to put in some work but it is doable.

Yep, i have issues with this sort of stuff.

With all that weld it looks like to me the guy had his welder turned up just a bit too hot and was chasing holes that he himself was making trying to weld it up.

Ya, hard to say. Not sure why he welded the tank at all. It does not look cut up for re-shaping. Just another hack job. Or pissed of welder.
