Yea, this is gonna be an even bigger problem on the 400 since the stock offset is 60mm. I'm gonna gain too much trail. Well, I have a line on the front-end, and once I get the wheel/brakes sorted, I'll machine new triples if I don't like the steering.

Jeez, I better start my own project thread  ;D

There probably are, but the guy I use (beer for anodizing) mainly does silver and black, the basics.
I think he also has gold, green, red, orange and purple, but those don’t run as often.

Well that was then, you can call yours a modern, Bada$$ bike! enjoyed reading the whole thread and will probably refer to it several times during my build, which is not to impressive right now as it is all in peices but it will start coming together soon!

Sounds about right.  Look at how long the runners are on a tunnel-ram intake that's tuned to ~5,000 RPM, or the old Dodge cross-ram intakes that were tuned to ~2500 RPM.

Better tighten up the bottom end then.  ;D

Thats an understatement .... :o  some readings for a 2 inch intake were at 30,000 rpm, so its useless trying to work inlet tract length using that converter.....unless i am totally missing something..?

Also that calculator is a little too simple. cross section, at least throat diameter, should be taken into account also. I have formulas for all of this somewhere... In a box in 300 miles away, most likely.

That Brembo is a 13mm and with the single R6 caliper I find it a bit firm for my liking. I prefer a more progressive (softer) feel at the lever, so I’ve ordered an 11mm Brembo that should be here soon.

Jimmy, did you ever get that 11mm master? Which do you prefer? My goal is to use a used OE part from another bike.

Replace it with a vacuum-operated petcock like on an SV650.

I like it, interesting look but not quite what I expected looking at the prototype on Motogpwerks. Maybe it's the angle of the photo. I expected the mid-section/tail pipe to curl under the middle of the engine and then finish with an "S" section curving out and then back in and up

just a beautifull thing . only personal changes would be off with the wing mirrors and on with one mirror on the offside coming from the switch gear , like the trad honda ones ,and a longer silencer out to the wheel rim .but purely nit picking ,im in north vancouver for a month in may, i'll can look out for this now ,as well as the scenery .dont know which looks better !
