Tappet oiling Question
« on: April 13, 2013, 02:02:35 PM »
Currently over the moon!
After rebuilding carbs, tappets camchain plugs , oil system cleanout. She started. Oh yes I had posted a while ago 1974 750 non runner. She runs smooth after balancing carbs with my Brit Carbtune. It uses steel rods.
Should oil splash out if tappet covers? I look inside and see a lot of oil but no splash?
I would be nice to be able t post a vid on the site so you could hear her run.
Anyway time for a Sammy to celebrate. Cheers Knobbs

Not the appropriate forum for a question. This is for full blown projects.

But, mainly splash out of the ex tappets as they sort of tilt forward. Not so much if any from the intakes.
