Nice brackets. I like your manifold setup - it brings the carbs a lot closer to the head than Cycle X's. Looking forward to seeing the progress on this.

Thanks it looks good hopefully it works well. Trial and error. I got the monocross swing arm mocked up. It will line up with some spacers. Will prob even get the l linkage working correctly and lower it all at the same.

Well I cut more of the tank and mocked it all back up. I think it is gonna look pretty good. The cut outs will work great for the opposite side to fill the holes and will kinda dish in. The more I do the more Ideas I find. I got the basic pegs done last night. Need to do the beauty/grip ops to them and build the mounting tabs. Decided to go aluminum. The mount will be steel that I will weld to frame after I bolt it to passenger peg spot then pull the bolt. I'm thinking I will have to go with a real small light battery. With the monocross shock in place there is no room for it on swingarm like I had thought. Thought about in the tank but don't want that small of tank.

The idea of hard tail keeps popping in and out of my head it would leave more room for battery and air filter. Wondering how it would ride. Anybody have one that's rigid and want to chime in.
. i went and got the sandblaster so I'm ready to blast my tank tomorrow.

Put some holes in my pegs. Not exactly what I wanted but they will work.

I sandblasted and cut all the cancer out of my tank and got it all figured out how to stitch it back together. It feels real clean and narrow. My knees tuck in nicely. I will b running rear sets on the passenger peg wings but will have a mid peg to have a place to have my feet while cruising

I think I'm gonna make new shock brackets for the rear of the mono shock swing arm to run dual shocks out back like stock. They will have prob 4 holes to adjust ride height/ shock angle for what kind of riding ill b doing. By doing this it frees up behind the motor for battery and air filter and gives more traditional look while maintaining stance. The further from straight up and down the less travel and softer it will get.

I also scored abunch of free Harley take off stuff. Nice bend bars screening eagle mufflers with the whole stock exhaust. Don't know what of it ill use but a lot of options. Also saw an old bultaco on the side of the road for parts for $35 I might stop and grab today if its still there.

I'll have to let you know. The swap is in progress. That said, many have done it with improvement over the stock set-up.

Now I'm thinking the wife needs a bultaco Honda twin powered chopper. But that's a whole different forum. She thinks she needs my 750 but I told her she can't imagine what the taco will look like. I'm gonna go put it into rolling chassis with welded chain drop struts out back and list it a rolling chopper chassis on cl and ebay and see what happens. While I continue the search for a cheap motor for it. If I haven't sold it by the time I find one ill build it.

Well I've been doing quite a bit. I got my swing arm cut and have all the dimensions figured for spacers to widen an then respace the tire back out. I've ordered 60 mm pods and it looks like they will just clear the down tubes. Might have to knotch them a bit.  Really the one thing I was still wondering about was how the mikuni snowmobile carbs would hook up to the twist throttle but I got that working today as well. I used the throttle from the bultaco and the. Cable from the 750 little drill here tug there walla throttle that works.
Been working on the taillight and I think I'm gonna mount it in the seat so it looks like dual ovals.
I also Installed the bungs for my fuel gage. I need to come up with a better bottom setup to make the tube line up with the tank.
I also got a pair of renthal black twin wall bars from a buddy of mine. They were alittle tweaked in a motocross crash and replaced with new. My buddy straightened them and u can't tell they were tweaked just one little mark. Thanks jim

I sold the motor for that bultaco on eBay for 150 plus shipping so I got some extras cash for a little bling for the 750 :) and I still have the rolling chassis
