Will Goldwing rear wheel fit on a K8?
« on: April 19, 2013, 05:47:41 PM »
I really like the wheels on the 84 interstate model.  Has anyone put them on a K8 before?

Anything can be made to fit anything, but you are fighting an uphill battle with the goldwang wheel, the wangs are shaft drive ;)

Some early model GS Suzukis and Kawasakis (CHAIN DRIVE) had similar wheels. It may mean you'd have to change front forks( if tubes are same diameter) for the proper axle and in the rear do some magic with spacers.
The KZ 650/750 are almost identical but the GS750 wheels are a real nice STAR rim.

Thanks for the input.  I am going to look into the Kaw rims.

Hey Mike, welcome. From your user name, I'm assuming you are a Mopar fan. :)
If you are looking for cast mag type wheels, ( I have no idea what an 84 Goldie used) I happen to have 2 or 3 Kawasaki Morris style mags laying about that I can take measurements and or pictures of if it would help...

I've got a set of ENKEI MAGS from a KZ1000. They are 19" front with dual disc brakes , the rear is 18" with disc. They came from a 77/78 KZ1000LTD model.
