looking good so far!   i like the technique you used on the tank for the side dents - I've never seen that done before.  so simple, and it looks good!

Great looking job so far! Honda's make great looking Cafe's. I just finished a 79 KZ650 and recently picked a78 750 itching to get started! Love the tank!

couldint get the selinoid to kick and then i realised that i forgot to connect the nutral switch. an easy fix that took two hours to figure out. haha

That's how it usually works.

When I was riding the Chicago leg of Relay Rally I about 3 weeks after getting my 550 on the road, it started running like absolute crap. Didn't want to rev, wouldn't go over 45 mph, ran through a whole tank of gas in about 35 miles.

It took me two days of looking to discover that the tiny nut that attaches the condenser to the 1-3 points had worked loose and was creating an intermittent fault. 30 seconds with a tiny wrench and it ran like a champ for the rest of the time I owned it, including the 6 day ride with the Michigan team.

everything working good.except my reg/rec is charging upwards or 18v when i rev it up. must have it wired wrong

did it my self. it wasnt to hard just time consuming filling in all the little dings from the hammer and getting the sides to both look the same

just a rubber mallet and a round hammer. give it a good wack with the rubber mallet where you want the center of the indents to be and start working it out fron there. then use the hammer to work the edges when you have it close to where you want it

that will prob work. just take yous time and dont hit it to hard. i learned the hard way and had to pull part of it out and fix it
