It's time for Boston to close this out! ;D

Leafs really showed up last game and whooped us, but here's to an entertaining Game 6.

Leafs   Red Wings Nation giddy with anticipation and crossing fingers and toes and holding breath, game seven tonight 10pm, all Detroit will be sleeping in tomorrow morning.

How about a Leafs-Wings final like the good old days??? :) :) :) :)
Frank Mahavolich, Red Kelly, Bobby Baun, Johnny Bower, Eddie Shack, Dave Keon vs.
Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay, Marcel Pronovost, Bill Gadsby, Alex Delvecchio, Terry Sawchuk.

Is this the last chance :o for a Leafs-Wings final with Wings in East next year?  :(

Too bad for Leafs
Wings move on to Chicago
Wings might get drubbed but also are playing with heart - very important
Jimmy Howard is a good goalie
Datsyuk-Zetterberg most excellent

Suddenly , I'm a Red Wings fan.
Don't know why, the feeling just came over me. 8)

Damn it. Now I have to listen to the wife for 7 more games yelling, screaming and keeping me up..... 8)   (because Boston Bruins won in OT)

peace,
michel

PS. Why does everyone around here always assume I like hockey because I was born in Canada.?

Boston vs New York(?) is on.
The yelling has commenced.

Think I'll go to the pub and put a few away for the next couple of hours. ;D

Dang it, Red Wings didn't have quite enough for the Black Hawks.
Oh well, fell asleep for the OT anyway.
Hoping now for a Boston-Chicago final but I think Quick is the best goalie.
I'm looking forward to more of this next year:

Pens-Bruins is going to be awesome.  Saturday is going to be 2 good NHL games followed by a party at my bud's for his kids graduation then Sunday is the AMA hillclimbs at Jefferson, PA.  Oh, and the hotrods are in York.  Shaping up to be a good weekend.  GO PENS!

These two match-ups are going to provide phenomenal hockey. We've got hot goalies, 4-line depth, superstar players, the works.

I am a bit worried about how the B's match the Pens. If the B's can be physical and smash the Pen's in the mouth a bit, they will fair well. However if they start trying to compete goal-for-goal with the caliber of offense that Pittsburgh puts out, they will be run out of town quickly.

Of course, go B's! My apologies to 74cb750 as he'll likely endure 6 or so games of his wife screaming at the TV. ;D

I'd like to see Hawk vs Pens in the finals. Bruins and Kings have their cups the past two years. Plus I have neighbors, one from Chicago and one from Pitt, its funny as hell to listen to these guys go at each other when it comes to hockey. I'll even buy the beer just to watch these two!
