Finally found a pic.. No banjo.. Straight out the mc, thru the stem, teed to 45,s, then gracefully arcing to calipers... Dash 3 when they first made it..  Back around 78, you had to make your own..

 No banjo.....no banjos..

Mine originally was set up with braided line through the fork damper hole in the stem nut on my Ceriani's with a "T" that fit in the slot in the base of the the stem into hard fittings in the caliper and M/C. Very clean set up. I have since converted to later model calipers and masters that use banjo's. I will also remove the line from the stem so I can use that hole for mounting the full fairing without having to mount to the neck or weld any permanent mounts to the frame.

If you find a stem nut from some early damper equipped models,they are already drilled.
 Coming off the I used forged 45degree fittings,they were pricey. I paid 187.00 for the parts, hadto assemble them, and that was around 79.
 A cheaper way would be to tap an aluminum block to 1/8 NPT, then use 3 NPT to -3 AN. Fittings....

 Did I mention I don't like banjos?

Hey Frank, the -3 AN fittings thread directly into the MC and calipers?

well, I got some -3 plugs and the threads dont match with the stock threads.

You put AN -3 .. To metric thread adaptori in the caliper and Mc they have 2 male threads with a hex in the middle.. About 3/4 inch long. Your hoses then have a -3 fitting n both ends. If you go thru the stem nut, you put one hose end on, slide line through, then assemble 2nd fitting to hose. We should make an aluminum 1 pce Tee with AN-3  on all 3 ends.. Would look even cleaner.

But the way you installed your brake lines you can't bleed your calipers....

Actually I think I bled them like that. The bubbles go up the line, and I probably , loosened the line above the caliper, if I had trouble with air in there. A big help, if you are having bleeding trouble.. Tap your line with a small wrench, like 8 or 10 mm. Start low down, tap repeatedly every inch or less , work your way up.. Repeat if necessary, dont bleed, just pump mc once in awhile to let the air escape out the top.
 Those brakes were very hard in feel, usually, two finger braking.. With Stock bore mc..and yes I had  that front tire squealling and hopping..in a panic stop.. The hopping was probably an out of balance  wire wheel I ran before the mag.
