Gents, I need help with an issue. I am refurbishing a 71 CB500. everything has been gone through and checkes and set. on the center stand it has great idle and rev. Driving, I have ok pick up in 1st and 2nd, 3rd - 5th requires me to SLOWLY roll in the throttle or it will die and then once you roll the throttle off past halfway, it will fire back up. The bike struggles to maintain speed in 4th and 5th after about 50 mph. any ideas on where to start? I have checked the tank/petcock, jets, floats, and plugs. Thanks!
