start relay
« on: July 16, 2013, 06:52:54 AM »
Hi, I am about to wire a start relay onto my CR750, powered by a total loss, Boyer ignition system. I don't know if anyone can confirm the wiring for me, I have checked various web sites, and the nearest thing I can find is, using a 12v auto relay, pin 30 to battery positive, wired through a fuse, pin 85 to ground, pin 86 wired to kill switch, kill switch must be in on position for this to work, and pin 87 to blue wire on coils, if anyone has fitted one of these, I would be grateful for your help, thanks, Tony,

That's the way I have mine wired Tony, the kill switch is just the trigger. Run a heavier gauge wire from the battery to the fuse then relay

+1 on the wiring & bw's comment.  I'm assuming the ignition is the only thing running off the battery.  Boyer's don't like low voltage (battery).

Yes, that's right, ignition on/off switch, and one LED, mounted between rev counter and oil gauge.
