I did another 100 miles on my new (to me) Yamaha XT660X today, and had a ball. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Just finished refreshing this '74 Laverda 3C. Rode it around the hood a few times, runs and rides great. I went to the DMV this AM to get it legal, and the computers were down. Will get it done next week.

Awesome!  I have always been fascinated by Laverda's.  Hopefully, I may get to experience one first hand someday
If it works good, it looks good...

It looks great. I had a Laverda 750SF and it was a dog, but I always wanted a Jota. I've only ridden one once, and it was in pretty poor condition, so it didn't impress, but of all of the Italian bikes of the era, they were probably the best. ;D

I saw a few over here in early 80's.
Engine had a tough hard sound. The cooling flanges looked cool.
A Jota would have been nice as long as the gear shifter is on right side which is left.  ;D
Brake pedal on the right.

I rode my CB750 K6 on 4 tourings thru Europe. Ca 5000-6000km each time. Should a Jota do that without a stop on a remote road?

i raced a jota in the late 70s and then a montjuic in the 90s both great bikes . i still have the montjuic but the jota met its end at brands hatch . we had to cut the back of the front mudguard off because under hard braking the forks would flex so much it would hit the exhausts and turn the bars . it was the bike to have in production racing until the gs1000 came out , that was faster and handled better .

That's a lotta flexing on 38mm Ceriani forks!

I know a guy who rode his from Perth to Melbourne in the late 70s, put it on a container ship bound for Chile, which was rerouted to Venezuela. He rode down, this is in Bolivia. He's still putting on a lot of miles on his two Laverdas. Another guy I recently met bought a 750 SFC at Mecum for $65K, which is insane to me.  He has an American Eagle badged 750 and an orange Jota, both immaculate.

I now have the Suzuki GS1100E with left shift, Norton with right shift, one up, 3 down, and the Lav with 1 down, 4 up on the right. Gets confusing!

It's Imgur, they started blocking in some countries. Stinks. Can use Opera with it's built--in VPN switch next to the URL field, that should work as it changes IP to Sweden I think, or Netherlands.
