A blurry picture of one of my bikes next to a mate's near twin in blue at last Wednesday's Bike Night...

Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

Okay, I'll admit it, I went to the Dark Side for a little while, lol!  My one and only Harley from a few years ago, a 2005 Sportster 1200R (first year with the rubber-mounted engine, still carbed).  Thunderstar wheels and rotors, Wilwood 4-piston calipers, s/s brake lines, Screaming Eagle black intake / jet kit / black mufflers, black HD air shocks, black handlebars, black mirrors, custom "ghost flames" paint job, misc "shiny" hardware replaced with black grade 8 allen heads (caliper mounts, front fender mounts, gas tank bolts, engine case bolts, valve cover bolts, shock bolts, handlebar bolts, brake rotor bolts, etc).  I had the bike for about a year, maybe a year and a half, found myself still making fun of other HD riders (what's with the studded seats and long handlebar fringe anyway, lol), so decided to sell it and move on.

Still wish I had this one...'93 Ducati Superlight, 888 Termignoni racing mufflers, Brembo full-floating front rotors, s/s brake lines, GSX-R1100 master cylinder, etc.  Ventilated clutch cover and dry clutch made a wonderful sound when pulling into a stop, and with those mufflers, sounded like a proper Italian v-twin should!  After riding Japanese sportbikes with inline-fours for many years, this was my first v-twin, and I basically had to learn how to ride all over again, lol!  Wouldn't win any drag races, but what a bike to ride fast in the twisties!

Always love the look of the Hondaline fairing on the Sabres. That is the fairing I want to use on my Cb550 cafe tourer project (if I ever get back to it).

Had one of those VF 1000 F years ago.
Sad I sold it for very little money.

Was a good, strong bike.

Doc, I love a motorcycle!

Easter 2015, Dolomites. Once the salt is off the road (the BMW is covered in salt), it's the Honda's turn.

Just got back from a 10 day ride. This shot was taken in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. The road was smattered with big dead Kangaroos.

I'm thinking they all committed suicide having their conscience finally catch up with them, and accounting for all the deaths and property damage they've caused on your roads throughout recent history-

Cal. I've seen air conditioning units ripped completely off the cab of B doubles {prime mover with 2 full size trailers} after hitting a Red Kangaroo, they can stand at 6 feet or more and are like hitting a brick wall, tough buggers... :o

Yeah, no doubt! In the US, about 1200-1500 people annually die form vehicle/deer altercations. And the average North American deer weights about 70Kg. Now a moose, thats a different story... Or elk. No doubt in my mind those 'roos are a blight to vehicles of any size. I just wish they had a conscience and would take their lives instead of taking another's with them when they go.

I had a deer T-bone my car about 3 years back. I was in heavy traffic, rainy, early evening in the autumn. Saw him coming. Only decision was: over the hood with the deer and get rear-ended by the prick following too closely, OR, time the impact to take him in the wing panel. I timed it to perfection, directly into my drivers door. Sheared the mirror ($1200 thank you very much), crushed the door (impact brace deformed) and deployed side-impact bag (annoying). Deer went spinning on pavement and the follower ran him over to boot. Deer gets stuck under his mini truck, and he (driver) and I are in work suits in the side of the road dragging and tugging at this bastage all crumpled up underneath...

After we wrestled him free, I stood on the side of the road slapping the deer about demanding his Proof of Insurance, Drivers ID and registration. He never relented, so off I went, pissed off and reported to my insurance. Must have been a sight to the passersby on their way to a warm meal and dry abodes. $3400 of damage to my beloved sedan  :'(

I say fcuk a Deer! (and a 'Roo)!
