Topic: cb125j coil problem ?

Hey,

I've been trying for a while to get a cb125j running without luck. ( 6 volt)
I just found out that the primary circuit of the coil only shows 1.7 ohms, where i thought this should read at least 3... the secondary reads 15000 as it should.

Can someone tell me if this means my coil is broken and needs replacing. It does show spark but maybe the spark is to weak ? Could this be the cause why it isn't running ?

Please give us a few more details on the bike because a "CB125j" I'm not familiar with;is it a CB125S ? I would like to know more about the other things you've already done to the bike to fix it;a step by step list of tests & adjustments,etc. w/ pics if possible.
