Trying to install turn signals on my 72 cb500
« on: August 15, 2013, 08:48:04 AM »
Howdy folks. First post here. I bought some aftermarket universal turn signals to put on my cb500 I purchased of of Craigslist recently. This is my first bike ever so I really have no idea what to do with the wiring. I've opened up the headlight shell and its just a mess of wires to me. I found the specific wires that lead back to the turn signal switch and figured it would just be plug and play. But no, I literally found myself staring and feeling hopeless for half an hour. When I started looking into unconnected female end there was was looked like some kind of glue surrounding the connector with the tubes at the end. Im electrically challenged or at least too overwhelmed to even know what to do. I've looked at wiring diagrams but honestly, they don't mean anything to me at all. I just want to know where do I plug he bastards in? There are two turn signals with two wires coming out of each. Can someone guide me to the corresponding wires that they plug into?
