Anyone going to the Bonneville GP?
« on: August 21, 2013, 02:34:57 PM »
Is anyone headed to Miller Motorsports park for the GP this year Aug 30 to Sept 1?  I think the little lady and I will head down and camp for the weekend at the track.  I have a buddy racing and am contemplating putting the mrs. bike in the bike show for fun.  I need to renew my MotorCycle Classics subscription anyway and its included with bike entry.  Would be fun to meet any other forum members that attend.  If there are any...  ;)

See you there. I'm planning on loading my camping gear too. I'll be the guy in the red Corvette Grand Sport wearing my 2013 Relay shirt.

I've been attempting to communicate with them via phone and email about camping. I've gotten a little info but no real follow up yet. I am hoping to nail something down before I leave for BUB/Salt Flats this Sunday.

Jerry,

We do have some Attitudes spots available as well as the grass tent spots. You can park at the site, assuming it fits in the Attitudes spot. And if you tent camp, then you can park by your spot as well.

An Attitudes spot is $50 and a tent spot is $25. Weekend tickets(one ticket each day for one person) are $30. So if you needed two weekend tickets and a spot, they would be $110 and $85 respectively.

I haven’t gotten final word, but generally with our camping you can move in on Friday and leave the morning after that event. I’ll work on getting specific times for you.

You will be able to drive around our ring road to get to the shower facility.

Let me know if you have any more question or if you’d like to purchase a spot.

Thanks,

Sounds good Jerry.  Looking forward to meeting the man, the myth, the legend!  We are camping at Attitudes as well and will arrive friday night staying through Sunday.  I have a close friend that is a contributing photographer for MotorCycle Classics that is racing a BSA.  He's actually the guy that I bought my cb500 from.  He raced it at the GP the year before I bought it from him.  Anyway, rambling now...
