Back on the Road After 8 Years - New to SOHC4

After 8 long years away from the bikes, I am finally back at it with a newly acquired 73 CB500 - with the wife's approval even! I love to tinker and am an DIY'r at heart so I'm certain that this site will be one of my most useful resources when I get in too deep or just want to chat about cool vintage Hondas. This is my 4th time with a Honda and my second vintage CB (first one was a 74 CB550 that my dad gave to me with a "you get it running and you can have it" promise). Can't wait to dive into the forum!

Thanks! This forum has already proven to be very useful as I get my ol' CB purring the way it should. I'll be sure to get some photos up soon too.

Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !
