I didn't see one oldschool Honda in there.

Then you didn't see mine...

Look closer... http://www.michbikerevents.com/5-01-05%20Holly/IMG_7415.jpg

Well, I should clear up something...

The Honda I pointed out isn't mine.  :-[ I have a plain old CB750 (which was there). I just attached the link as you said NO old Hondas were represented.

Sorry! :-X

When it starts getting frosty or so cold that I feel it through my old snowmobile suit then it is to cold for me. Until then I am going to be riding. I love to ride. That was a damm nice pic of the Honda, but what's up with the rug underneath it?

we should make it a contest.

39º in GR...I tried to ride in, but old Froggie didn't want to wake up! She tried to start twice, but went back to sleep...I just hope I didn't run the battery down too much! I'm going to kill my starter grinding it that much!

She woke up! I let her sleep a few more hours, then she started, although under a little protest...so then I rode in, just before noon, and my Buddy Jeff and I rode up to Rockford, about 10-15 miles to the Corner Bar for lunch (Great Hot Dogs!)...It was sunny, Curvy, and beautiful! A little nippy, but I guess it's that time of year where we have to slip rides in where we can get 'em! 30 miles in the middle of a weekday isn't all bad!

I didn't winterize at all last year.... any day the roads were dry and the temps bearable, I'd bundle up and go for a spin.

34 degrees this morning.  My usual cutoff is 40, but I just got the new tire on this weekend & haven't had much of an opportunity to ride since then.  My commute is just under 4 miles-not long enough to develop frostbite.

80 mi yesterday, Livonia-Dexter-Livonia. 59 f when I left, 56 when I got home. My Joe Rocket jacket cuts the wind like a knife, but I should have put the lining in. T-shirt only underneath. I have only lightweight riding gloves and so I was losing dexterity (oops stall, couldn't clutch or throttle very well) at the end.  I hope the weather will be milder or my rides will be abbreviated until I park my CB about Oct 15th.

Kevin and Chris - I hope the big chill holds off for 3-4 weeks.  After 10 years without, I finally have a bike again-- and I don't want it to end!  When I was 17, I could endure the Michigan winters...I just put on snowmobile gloves and a parka.  I rode every month of the year but February. Nowadays, well, I'm more of a fair weather rider.  Mornings can be a little nippy.

BTW - Chris....your thread endures. Viewed 1400 times!

I am putting in for the time off of work to go to Holly. I look forward to putting a face to some of the names on this forum. I hope a fair amount of us show up.

This is awesome! I can't believe how you guys are running with this! I too just had something come up on the 1st that I have to go to (Partner and riding buddy Jeff is haveing a birthday party for his wife...bad juju if I'm not there!) so I guess I can't go to Holly after all...I'll catch you all soon...Sorry Bruce!
I've gotten a few emails this morning regarding changes to the mailing list. Remember, You don't have to go through me to make changes. Just send a group email out to everybody at once, and everyone can make their own changes on their own systems...we're kind of on  manual mode for this...I'm doing it just like you..no magic program...

Anyone out there have a time and place to meet? ???  I am totally unfamiliar with Holly and am looking for guidance.  Unless something unfortunate happens, I will be there. :) :)

Take Care

The VJMC usually has a canopy with a banner. They try to usher the jap bikes into position on the west side of the street.

me & Hootie and perhaps some other people

Dammit, it's Hoot-L-e. Hoot-I-e makes me sound like some dude who blows fish. Or something.

 ;D

(This is what I get for being too much of a lazyass to be creative with my handle, looking out the window, hearing an owl give a little hoot, and going, 'screw it, that's it, to hell with being witty'...)

But yeah, Huero said something about an Ann Arbor meet-up beforehand. I'd think the more, the merrier. Time and place and all that junk have yet to be determined far as I know...
