My favored sport in the old country

This is what I used to do, whitewater canoeing.  Small creek with a lot of water, loads of fun, but October in that area is cold.

Looks fun. Lots of good whitewater around the PNW in the spring.
A good Romanian friend of mine won a silver medal sprint canoeing.
