Topic: Cl450 gas tank rust inside

Need some opinions some tanks I'm about to purchase. Been looking forever for a tank with good petina. Problem with this one is rust inside, before I drop $100 shipped just need to know if its salvageable. Thanks for your time.

The petina and colour of this tank is wicked but $200 shipped and inside looks even worse. Ad says surface rust but looks deeper then that.

These are my two choices. First choice  is not my favorite but priced better and inside looks a tad better. Second choice is the color I really want, shape of tank is near mint. Downside is price and inside looks bad.

The main place to check is at the bottom and the seams as that's where rust holes like to develop. Make sure you get some good pics of the underside before buying. The rust is pretty easy to deal with if there is still enough good metal to work with.

Both undersides look clean still, tanks are pricey so I will definitely be taking a chance on whichever I end up buying.
