KZ 750Ltd electrical problem
« on: August 26, 2006, 03:02:05 PM »
My son's '81 750 Kaw sputtered to a halt the other day, no power anywhere. Battery is OK, but the main fuse (20 amp) and another 10 amp fuse were blown. I replaced them today, it started right up, but the main got hot quickly. Got to trace things down, but I was wondering if anyone with experiance with these might provide a place to start. I know nothing about these bikes. Oh yeah- it's not overcharging. Hits 14.2 volts max.

Sounds like it might be a bad Voltage regulator.
