starting my metal sculpture class today

I really hope they don't mind me trying to make cool stuff for the bike and passing it off as sculptures!

I've been waiting for a year to start this class and I'm pretty stoked!!!!!

I'll be welding. one of our projects will be to go to a scrapyard, find something and make a sculpture out of it. should be fun

Hope you enjoy the course. I've been using welded steel for some sculptures recently and it's great - so direct. I started out as an architectural stone carver - churches and old buildings and stuff - but don't do so much of that work anymore.
 Let us know how you get on and post some pictures. The scrapyard project sounds loads of fun. Making things is good for the soul :)
