Stock colours for Aussie K7 bikes
« on: October 29, 2013, 02:24:14 AM »
Hey guys can anyone from the club tell me what the stock colours were and perhaps paint codes here in oz.
All the US sites say black and candy apple red but I've only ever seen brown.

Cheers spotty my other bike is a k2 also.
What I have found out though is that candy alpha red and excel black we're definite colours.
I just can't work out where the browns and other colours came from.

Had a brand new 750 red one in 1972, red with a slight flake in the paint, no black paint anywhere on the bike.

The talk was the red ones went fastest as Honda built the bikes in a red line, a blue line and a gold line, and the red line built faster 750s.

Would wind it up to a genuine 135 mph, layed flat out on the tank.  Between Hawker and Quorn in the South Australian desert.
