Ok, Am I missing a clip here?
« on: November 02, 2013, 08:11:58 PM »
I know that there are clips in this motor that are half moon shape.  They seem to locate and hold in place the shaft the clutch is on(3 on that shaft) and another I think where the sproket is if I remember right.

My question is, is there supposed to be one in the crank shaft, ignition side, by the seal behind the point system.  It has a little slot that the seal sits in and looks like there could be one of those half moon things there behind it to hold it in place.  I cant find one anywhere and I have been VERY careful to remove each part and place it where I know where it is.

Tell me that I have not lost the clip.  Attached is a pic, thx.

hmmm..., guess i need a pair of your googly eyes....

What threw me off was there was two lips, and the seal filled one.

When you have thoughts about any part check the charts at www.cmsnl.com for your bike. You'll find which type of screws, lenghts, part number and other good information needed when assemble the bike. There are other sites using the same type of charts.
