1977 CB750F "El Moto"
« on: November 04, 2013, 04:29:38 PM »
Here is a bike that I built awhile back, but now it is going back under the knife for some motor work and a few other details that weren't done originally.

Day 1

Wow this is really making it hard for me to resize every picture I have then try to upload.  Any better way to do this??

Most people on here host on photobucket. You just click the IMG link on the right hand size and it formats/resizes for you and then just hit paste in the link. You don't need to use the url button either, just paste the copied IMG

The dirty girl-1976 cb750k, Ebay 836, Tracy bodykit
Round top carbs w/ 38 pilots, middle needle position, airscrew 7/8ths out, 122 main jet
Stock airbox w/ drop in K&N, Hooker 4-1

Don't trust me alone with a claw hammer and some pliers

Figuring out the rear hoop and fender layout.

Rear hoop complete.

License plate mount for me and my buddy

This is close to how I rode it for about a month before I decided that it needed to be a more complete build.

Time for some rear-sets, after studying pictures of Tweakin's F2 I decided to mount them similar to his.

Motor is out and I'm getting the frame ready for powder.

Here are the tabs for the passenger pegs to eventually thread into.

Prepping the motor for paint.  Painting for now until I build the 836 motor.

Garage is now a spray booth...

Paint turned out good.

First ride and one of my oil lines is cracked and leaking everywhere.

And the float bowls are all leaking out the overflow tube.  Apparently the copper tubes can freeze and crack so the bowl will always leak.  Nothing a little heat and solder can't fix.

Looks perfect, congrats :)
“You don’t have to be worried about scratching your bike. You don’t have to be worried about it if gets, you know, dirty. Actually ride it, that’s what it’s made for. We love to make it look differently, but you should also be able to ride it. That’s what it’s all about in the end.” - Nicholas Bech, Wrenchmonkees
