CB350F flake matador red touchup advice.
« on: November 06, 2013, 12:21:17 PM »
Hey, I got a couple of minor chips and dings on an otherwise beautiful paint job on my CB350F. Kinda bothersome, but not a huge deal. I had almost just accepted it, but I just dropped one of the side covers and chipped it a bit (just to the primer) and I'm thinking I might want to touch this thing up over the winter. It's nothing really worth breaking the bank over, though. Any advise on where to get a good match? I've shopped around a bit online. I'm not really opposed to dropping $20-$50 on some good touch up paint, but if there's a really decent match for cheap that I can get away with I'm all ears. I'm pretty sure the PO repainted it, there's really not any fading.
Thanks.

Anyone have any experience with this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Honda-Flake-Matador-touch-paints/dp/B00EORAGKY/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1383770937&sr=1-3&keywords=flake+matador+red

Seems like one of the cheaper options for the actual match. Is it crucial to spring for the 3-stage with these things or can I just use the aeresol Duplicolor clearcoat that I already have lying around here?
