I've had better days
« on: November 07, 2013, 11:38:43 pm »
Yesterday morning like always I had my cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal or Honey Nut Cheerios or Spoon Size Shredded Wheat.
About half way through my of SW I bit down on my tongue pretty hard, ouch @%#$ I said!
Long story made short, spend half the day in the Urgent Care getting my tongue sewed back up from the deep cut. After a Tetanus shot and then 4 shots in my tongue to numb it and stitches to close up the cut and filling out more medical forms then I cared to I guess I'm ok other then being on a liquid diet for a few days until it heals up. Be careful eating and keep the ole tongue out of the way. Don't wish this on anybody.

I hear tongue and rectum are the fastest healing parts of human body. However I wish you fast recovery. By the way, fasting will quicken the healing process. So might not be a bad idea to quit eating for a day or two.  I have done that several times up to 2 weeks.

Gosh hall that must have been a doozie bite there. I never heard of having to get stitches unless it was like in a car accident. Heal fast my friend... :)

Put down the old vintage Tiger Beat magazine with pictures of Marcia in them while eating breakfast and read a Cycle World instead   ;D

Lesson I learned as a kid: keep your tongue inside your mouth when your teeth are coming down.

Heal quickly!

When I was in High School on the wrestling team, I went in on a guy, he was on the mat, I was up. Put my hand on his head while approaching hard. Hand slipped off and my chin hit his head. My tongue was in the way and I chomped it real good. Same deal, shots, 2 stitches, swallowed blood. Soup through a straw. Lost my next match.

Can still feel the scar tissue. Misery loves company.   :'(

Not sure how going to the urgent care the other day and getting my tongue shot up with Novocain and then stitched back up as anything to do with Marcia Brady, but hey that's ok. How did this whole thing about me having the hots for this 70's cutie get started anyway ??? Maybe because I've got a few pics and comments about her all over this forum ::) Thanks Eric and Stev-o for the pics. Nice assortment of pics Stev-o, how did you do that? Admit it guys she gets to you a little bit too ;) And Eric and the next time I pull out the ole Tiger Beat Mag. I'll try to be a little more careful. Now that's funny! ;D
Here's another pic for good measure ;) Let's go ahead and change the avatar too.

Geez that's no good Dwight, how the hell do you bite thru your tongue? You've gotta get some softer breakfast cereal! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Terry. Well didn't bite through my tongue just took a chunk out of it and the Doc had to sew it back together. Hows the Wang? Few weeks ago in the other bike section I showed a short video of a 75 GL1000 with a supercharger installed. That thing sounds sweet!! If you haven't seen it check it out ;)

We thought biting your tongue during breakfast might have just been a story?   We thought maybe your wifey found out about the Marcia and landed an uppercut to you?!
All in fun, heal quick and glad you enjoyed the collage.

My wifey Brenda is a good sport for sure. She thinks it's hilarious. Just the other night I was in another room and Brenda was channel surfing on the big screen when I heard her yell honey come here, Marcia, Marcia, Marcia is on tv. She had run across The Brady Brides a short lived TV show she was in around 1980.

G'Day Dwight, no worries mate, I've bitten my tongue before, but I don't think I've drawn blood. Is that Randaks blown 'Wang you're talking about? That thing is sweet! Cheers, Terry. ;D
