Beautiful work! I like the tank without the trim, but it's not my bike so do whatever you think looks right to you. Definite bike of the month material!

Seriously...wonderful to see someone do #$%* right, no hacking for the sake of something to do...just tasteful mods that improve performance and looks. Wish I had the meticulosity and the budget to do it like you do.

I could not be happier with how the "Turd" turned out. It was overcast when I shot the pictures so the Candy Gold paint looked almost orange, pretty cool the way the paint looks different in different lighting. My oldest daughter came out and said "Daddy, I thought Tweakin's turd was Gold? This bike looks orange" This was followed up by "I think you need to change the name... Its not a turd anymore".

Nice looking 848 in the first picture. I was curious about the turn signal indicators you use on this build. Can you provide some additional info?

Yes, I believe K&S makes them and I bought mine from DCC. I really like the that they have a vintage feel but with out the size. Added some led bulbs / equalizers and was good to go.

She maybe affectionately referred to as the GT but she's far too pretty to be called a Turd except maybe when she's being difficult with mechanical or electrical issues...
Let's hope she doesn't become a bike like TAO with a nickname with cause...

Yes Jim the name will be changed to 1971 cb750 GT. This will pay tribute to the roots of the bike (Golden Turd) and to where it is now. (Gran Turismo)

I hope to make the cafe weekend this year, any idea on dates yet? This is going to be one of the busiest years in a long time at work so planning is a must. That is part of the reason why I built this bike so fast.

I'm a big fan of work/life balance. You never want to wake and realize that something precious has passed you by. That being said, Jame was suggesting sometime in August. He's got a lovely little daughter keeping him up and an off road race schedule to manage so I'll check back.

I've never seen a raped ape run, nor is it on my bucket list, but I get your point. From the video, the engine is smooth and snappy. Performance topped off with knock out looks!

Thanks, Bro. The one-piece molded foam is made by the same company that does the seats for Arlen Ness. The foam is exceptionally comfortable and durable. RR
