Back when I was engaged, a guy in a rc airplane club I belonged to told me:

"This is what you need to do before you get married. Once a week, u tell her you're going out. Even if you have nothing to do, you go out and just drive around for a while.  That way, later on, when you DO want some time away, she's already used to it. Trust me on this!".

The beauty of my relationship is that we are always so busy that when I get home I actually want to see her! Weird, I know. She's fine with me disappearing for hours with a handful of beers into the garage.

Haha, right on. You can't ask for more than that, well maybe a home cooked meal waiting for you when you get home. All kidding aside if you you find a girl that's cool with your hobbies then your laughing. My wife has always been cool with mine, she knows I'm out in the shop tinkering or painting something in my studio and not getting into trouble somewhere else. Occasionally she's out in the garage with me wrenching which is fun.
