Time to get back at it.....
« on: November 29, 2013, 02:25:26 PM »
It's been a while since I've posted, but after settling some issues it time to get back at transforming my old K7 to a " yet another" cafe racer. Even though I haven't had time to do any work on the bike, doesn't mean that the credit card was idle. LOL

I've picked a few parts from DCC, along with an alloy cafe seat pan.

With the winter up here in the northeast, I hope to get a big part of the build done. That's it for now and let the build restart.

Looking forward to seeing some progress on this one.

Keep those spare parts for me  ;)

Disassembly almost done, all that's remaining is to remove the engine. Hope what I've been reading on the forum is as easy as it looks. =)

I saw that also but when I combined with the other parts I ordered from DCC, it was cheaper than having to pay for 2 separate shipping charges.

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.

I am going to have to look at my tank options again.....the tank I bought didn't fit right, shifted to far to the left, I guess that happens with handmade tanks.

All I can say is that the guys at Cycle-X were great. I called and spoke to Ken, gave me a few suggestions and unfortunately it didn't work and without hesitation they took it back and refunded my money.

Well now the search begins for another tank.
