Rick's Motorsports Electric parts for 650
« on: December 12, 2013, 02:26:28 PM »
Picked up a 81 650,rectifier wires burned , the pulse  thingy, whatever it's called , transistorized kettering system , whatever ( Rick's calls it CDI) also cooked, haven't looked yet but suspect generator cooked too. Not available through Honda, but I did find Rick"s Motorsports that say they have this stuff.
Has anyone used rick's parts on their 650? Are they any good? Does Hondaman make all the same stuff? Does anyone have his product for a 650? I'd rather keep it in the family if I can , but I don't know enough about it to make an educated decision.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.
550 Snowbike -Somebody had to do it.

I actually did the Ford Voltage regulator and a good quality third party rectifier on my 650. But I never tried Ricks. I do have one of there original honda charging rotors and stators they work great never had any issues with them.

I haven't used Rick's Motorsports for 650 work, but they did a fine job rebuilding a stator for my 71 cb450.
