On my other 750, I used a Trucklite LED headlight.
It looks really cool, but it is extremely heavy. The housing is die-cast metal and the polycarbonate lens is thick.
After using one of the Cyclops LED bulbs from Devin/Cognitomoto on my 550, I was surprised how bright it was without having to add so much weight.
The Trucklite LED produces 1,300 lumens compared to the 3,600 lumens produced by the Cyclops. Oh yeah, and it was a crap-load cheaper, too -- about $120 cheaper; of course the Trucklite has a housing, too, so the price comparison is NOT apples-to-apples. Both are plug-and-play solutions.
Now, I'll have to see if I can find a better lens (something more unique than the stocker glass)
